Today I got the song that i will be playing with accompaniment with the aid of Audacity. The song is "In the Hall of the Mountain King" from "Peer Gynt Suite" by Edvard Grieg. Edvard was born on June 15 1843 in Bergen, Norway. He was a composer in the romantic period and is best known for his "Piano Concerto in A minor" and the "Peer Gynt Suite". Much of his work is still used to this day and it will immortally continue on.
Today I struggled through the piece once. The hardest parts for me are when it goes to the higher note. Although hitting these notes isn't a problem the problem is that i am always second guessing myself on whether or not the note is high enough or if i have relaxed my lips too much and dropped a harmonic. I plan to fix this by playing the 4 bar section over and over to become more comfortable with.
Right now i have not started to worry about the tonging, the tempo and the dynamics. But i will keep you posted on how i'm improving and my plans of action.
